I often hear, “I am burnt out!” or, “I feel stuck and out of ideas” from therapists I work with. These and other “at the end of my rope” type statements have compelled me to offer this discussion series. And because many therapists in private practice also tell me they lack resources to guide them on questions related to their daily business operations, I address those as well.
In a group of 6-15 participants, we explore common obstacles encountered in the therapeutic process, as well as other clinical topics requested by attendees. This class offers useful, hands-on tools to apply in all facets of your private practice. Interactive discussions focus on one to two topics per session followed by a Q&A on clinical and other matters of concern raised by participants. Topics discussed include therapist self-care, ethics, referrals out, scheduling & fees, self-disclosure, termination and many others.
